Technical Team Supervisor (Java) - (Sri Lanka)

TradeCard Services; is a Joint Venture launched between TradeCard Inc. USA and Sabre Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of MAS Holdings (Pvt.) Ltd,. TradeCard, Inc. is the leading provider of on-demand supply chain management solutions. The TradeCard Platform synchronizes financial transactions with physical events in the global supply chain to help customers automate trade transactions from purchase order to payment and chargeback. TradeCard Services, Sri Lanka is responsible for all activities of TradeCard Inc. USA in this region including sales and marketing. The region the venture manages includes India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Israel and Turkey.

TradeCard is hiring a Technical Team Supervisor to manage 8-10 technical developers. We are looking for a person with strong communication skills who has experience in managing a team of this size. The person must have a strong technical background.

We are looking for a person with strong leadership skill who is interested in gaining business exposure in addition to building his or her technical skills set. Also, we require a high level of commitment and dedication from the individual.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a challenging, dynamic environment and collaborate closely with our teams in New York and Colombo.

Responsibilities:

• Managing a team of 8+ people
• Involvement in management / resource meetings
• Point person for communicating issues / requests to NYC office
• Organize team training / development
• Lead in hiring new developer resources
• Attend to production issues during Sri Lanka work hours
• Perform development work, unit testing your code, collaborating with the testing team for issue resolution
• Providing on-going customer technical support to existing clients.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• A degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent
• You must have 3+ years as a Management / team lead experience
• Excellent Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, HTML and SQL
• Strong Management skills and analytical skills a must
• Strong team working, communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to work on staggered working hours (11am - 8pm).
• Familiarity in ERP implementation, Procurement or supply chain systems knowledge a plus
• Familiarity with EDI, XML transaction processing, and data mapping
• Familiarity and an understanding of relational databases, writing and debugging complex SQL statements
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
