TRADECARD LOWERS THE BARRIERS IN CONNECTING SYSTEMS ACROSS THE SUPPLY CHAIN

NEW YORK - August 6, 2002- TradeCard, Inc, the financial supply chain service provider, today announced its ability to help companies lower their Enterprise Application Integration and Web Services costs and time with a toolkit consisting of specialized software, a set of methodologies and proven customer examples that all work to quickly and effectively connect all parties within the supply chain.

TradeCard accommodates a company's existing secure communication methodology and infrastructure via its EDI VAN adapters and secure standards adapters such as AS2 enabling quick and seamless connectivity to the TradeCard network. Through the TradeCard e-Commerce Agent and e-Commerce Toolkit, companies without a secure messaging infrastructure can enable secure two-way file exchanges that allow direct system-to-system messaging between trading partners across the globe. In addition, TradeCard has a set of pre-built integration models that help facilitate integration with companies using systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Baan, Ariba, CommerceOne, i2 and other proprietary solutions. These tools and knowledge have reduced the time and effort to connect order management systems of small-to-mid-sized companies, as well as large multinationals.

"Integration and data sharing have always been sticky points between companies trying to work outside their firewalls," says Nestor Zwyhun, CTO of TradeCard, Inc. "Getting disparate and diverse systems to share data quickly, easily and inexpensively across the supply chain is critical if companies are expected to communicate in any meaningful way. TradeCard provides the domain experience and track record to help these companies share transaction information without disrupting current processes."

TradeCard takes an adaptive messaging approach to integration meaning there is virtually no disturbance to existing systems so work can be phased-in through a seamless methodology. The TradeCard tools and methodology enable companies to send the information available in their system today and augment the data during upload or online in the TradeCard system via a web browser. In addition, TradeCard manages the cross referencing of information so that the company's system need not change to reference TradeCard information. Integration typically runs between several days to a couple of months depending on the depth of mapping involved. TradeCard supports the exchange of documents in any data format and maps directly to its own XML standard. For example, TradeCard can exchange documents in EDIFACT, X.12, non-TradeCard XML, comma-separated flat files, etc.

TradeCard has over 450 members on its network, which provides complete order-to-settlement capabilities. The TradeCard system has already processed over $250 million in transaction value between buyers, suppliers and other trade service providers around the world.
